Yoni Steaming is an ancient practice celebrated by numerous cultures around the world.  It can be done in private or in circle with other sisters.  Sc:STEAM is an invitation to nourish and nurture your connection with your body held in the collective heart of the group.  Modesty is preserved however the intention of the space is to celebrate the female form, releasing shame linked to the feminine body and all of her parts.

What you can expect at Sc:STEAM:

Learn about your body, your cyclical nature and how to intuitively choose a blend of herbs to support your body and soul.  Sc:STEAM is for any Yoni owner over the age of 16 wishing to journey with other women in this sacred ceremony.

The Benefits of Yoni Steaming:

Whilst mostly anecdotal due to limited scientific research being conducted, the potential benefits of Yoni  Steaming are vast and include the following:

  • To experience deeper connection with your own body
  • To nurture and connect with your Yoni
  • To gently aid your Yoni in shedding old uterine lining
  • To increase hydration
  • To help balance hormones
  • To reduce menstrual cramping
  • To regulate your  menstrual cycle
  • To promote healing of vaginal tissue
  • To release stagnant energy and promote creativity

Tickets include:

  • STEAM Ceremony
  • Herbs for the STEAM Ceremony
  • Herbs for a Self STEAM Ceremony at home
  • Light, grounding refreshments and tea
  • Use of a STEAM Stool**
  • After event support

** If you would like to purchase your own STEAM Stool, they will be available on the day.

Contraindications to Yoni Steaming:

  • If you are currently menstruating
  • If you have a history of very short cycles (bleeding twice a month)
  • If you are trying to conceive, especially around and after ovulation
  • If you are currently pregnant or think you may be pregnant
  • If you have an active internal infection
  • If you have any open sores or blisters present
  • If you have an Intrauterine Device (IUD)
    NOTE : if any of the following occur on the day of the event, please send us a message

Conditions that are safe for Yoni Steaming:

  • If you currently take hormonal birth control
  • If you have uterine fibroids
  • If you’ve had a hysterectomy
  • If you have ingrown hairs

What to wear to Sc:STEAM:
The most important thing to consider when choosing what to wear is “will it comfortably create a ‘tent’ around your lower body”?  You can wear a large billowing skirt, a generous maxi dress or use a sarong or blanket to create an enclosed area from your waist down to the floor whilst you sit/perch on a very low stool.

** Please note that tickets are non-refundable however may be transferable to another Self Ceremony event with at least 48 hours notice.


Event Facilitator : Elissa Wilson

Self Ceremony is the umbrella under which Elissa plays and creates ceremony based events.  All Self Ceremony events are curated to celebrate lasting transformation and connection with self and the collective heart of each container.

Elissa’s strong and grounded spirit has allowed her to indulge her passion for adventure, learning and travel.  Supported by her successful small business enterprise, she has spent seven years exploring and studying differing modalities in the field of personal growth, spanning Ancient Wisdom and Modern Science.  Included have been three separate coaching certifications in Sex, Love & Relationships, Trauma & Attachment Informed and Experiential Life Coaching alongside countless ceremonies and rituals.  Elissa has the innate skill to draw the polarities of these different yet deeply connected worlds together in her gentle and deep practice.

Her calm and aware presence when working with clients instils trust and allows them freedom to explore the deeper meanings and expressions of their life when they are seeking to understand themselves better.  Her coaching style stems from a values based framework, with strong foundations in humanistic psychology, that blends beautifully with her more holistic and spiritual practice.
